*Group Life Insurance
The groups that are eligible for group life insurance are established by state law. There is a minimum size requirement for the group. This varies from state to state. In a typical group term life insurance plan covering employees, a benefit schedule is included to define the classes of employees that are eligible for coverage and to specify the amount of life insurance that will be provided to the members of each class. The employee also is given a conversion privilege and a certain supplemental benefits may be provided as well.
